22.11.014 Jonathan Lindhorst Quartet w/Christine Jensen

Praised for his “lyrical intensity” and “expressively vocal” tenor sound, Jonathan Lindhorst is recognized as a musician who can blend into many different musical situations, yet possesses an eccentricity that allows him to bring a unique flavor to each performance. As a lover of many types of music and art forms, Jonathan takes his inspiration from performers as diverse as Tom Waits, Thelonious Monk, Joni Mitchell, Radiohead, and Bill Frisell ,as well as contemporary art, literature, and sci-fi/horror films.

“Jonathan Lindhorst finds a lyrical intensity not often heard on the tenor saxophone. At a time when many players still struggle with overcoming the chops laden post bop school, every note Lindhorst plays sounds thoughtful and well considered”
– Steve Sladkowsi, Spontaneous Combustion, 2011

We’ll be playing a combination of contemporary jazz compositions and free improvisation.

Montreal-based saxophonist and composer Christine Jensen has been described as, “an originalvoice on the international jazz scene… [and] one of Canada’s most compelling composers,” by Mark Miller of the Globe and Mail. According to Greg Buium of Downbeat Magazine, “Jensen writes in three dimensions, with a quiet kind of authority that makes the many elements cohere. Wayne Shorter, Maria Schneider and Kenny Wheeler come to mind.” After a performance at the 2006 Montreal International Jazz Festival, Scott Yanow wrote, “She’s rapidly developing into a major force as a player and as a writer.”

21.11.014 Bauer / Blaser / Bauer Trombone Trio —-….—-20:45

Three masters of the trombone in a grooving, swinging, improvised, spontaneous trio situation.

The legendary Bauer brothers – Johannes and Konrad (Hannes and Conny) – meet the Swiss master Samuel Blaser.

A young virtuoso from Switzerland, who has made a name playing and recording w/veterans from both sides of the Atlantic, including Gerry Hemingway, Gerald Cleaver, Marc Ducret, Drew Gress, Francois Houle, Vienna Art Orchestra, Benoit Delbecq, etc. “Fearlessly modern, yet respectfully regal, Blaser’s adventurous arrangements and reinterpretations offer the best of both worlds, enriching the raw impetuousness of avant-garde jazz with the proven sophistication of ageless classical forms.” (All About Jazz)

Conny Bauer is famous as a master of melodic improvisation on the trombone. His music comprises of a diverse array of tonal colours and melodies, in which employs his totally unique tonal creations, christened Conradismen by Chicago publicist John Corbett.

These stand as a testament to Bauer’s quest for a profound harmony between music and space, offering his audiences unparalleled experiences in cathedrals and theatres, and against both natural and industrial backdrops. He knows how to seize upon a venue’s acoustic properties such as reverb and echo with his trombone and process the resulting sound.

Conny Bauer’s music is creative and innovative. His trombone playing displays contrasting timbral characters – his clear, distinct tone shifting between light and bright or deep and earthy. Melodic lines lay upon one another like translucent layers of colour, the music becoming harmonic and sometimes even meditative.

http://www.johannes-bauer.net/ One of the few brave musicians of DDR to embrace free jazz, Hannes Bauer is a master trombonist, combining freedom and abstraction with an impeccable feel of swing, and is without a doubt one of the funkiest improvisers around. His associations run deep and wide – from Peter Broetzmann and Joe McPhee, to Roger Turner, Alan Silva and the young generation – Cactus Truck, Louis Rastig, etc.

¡Google is our new Oracle!
Where we can buy the private data of our neighbor?
Amazon knows when we need somethings?

There are alternative or we are the alternative?
Discussion and workshop with expert and friends”

Dear people.

Today's society is faced with plenty of challenges.
For several reasons and without a doubt the issue of
data privacy seems to be one of them:

- - What are the implications of a communication enhanced world
where every step of its users can potentially be monitored,
tracked and analyzed?

- - What are reasonable measurements that each and everyone
can take to betterprotect oneself against such a practice?

These are only some of the questions we would like to
to address together with you.

Admittedly, the topic is abstract and overwhelming,
especially for average non-technical persons.
We shall therefore provide plausible facts and experiences
to assure a qualitative core of discussion.

Looking very much forward to seeing you.
¡Fred!

Die toten Mäuse @ Live Konzert [*,.-] 6.11.014 ~ 20:45

10363128_309742339182866_2131116031536564353_nBiografie:
Im Juli 2012 begegnen sich Marco und Fausto in Köln.

Besetzung:
Marco Pascarelli: Bratsche, Loop Station

Fausto Caricato: elektrische Gitarre, Loop Station
